How it works
Record, report, review, resolve.
BadDrivr is a dashcam-first reporting platform. The goal is structured documentation of driving incidents — not identifying people by name, not punishing drivers, and not displaying home addresses.
01
Record
Your dashcam captures what happens on the road. You keep the original file; BadDrivr never accesses footage you don't choose to share.
02
Report
Trim up to 60 seconds, tag the incident type (e.g. running a red light, unsafe lane change), identify the license plate and jurisdiction, and submit. Reports include a general location; exact street addresses are not displayed publicly.
03
Review
Submissions go through automated checks and human moderation. Vehicle owners can claim their plate in the app and post a public reply. Non-users who believe a vehicle they own has been reported can request review through our takedown channel without creating an account.
04
Resolve
Reports that violate our rules, infringe rights, or are the subject of a valid legal complaint can be restricted, removed, or corrected. Our takedown process covers DMCA, non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), defamation, harassment, and privacy-related concerns.
What BadDrivr is not.
It's important to be clear about what this platform is not, because the distinction matters legally and practically.
- Not a verifier. We do not independently verify the accuracy of every report before display.
- Not a court. We do not determine fault, liability, or legal responsibility.
- Not a driver-identification tool. We do not link plates to people by name, we do not use DMV records, and we do not display exact home addresses.
- Not a substitute for law enforcement. If a crime is in progress, call local authorities.
- Not legal evidence by itself. A report is one user's documented observation, not an established fact.
Read the rules before you report.
